Lars Sørensen is a machinist at SOBY and is also responsible for our CSR-related work trials. The effort started with courses through CSR Skive, which gave him the skills to welcome employees who need support to get back into the labor market.
Good start with a reliable job mentor
Lars is the contact person for new employees who are referred by the municipality to solve tasks under special conditions. It is about citizens who have been through a long course of illness or have other prerequisites to contribute to the labor market than the general employee.
"It is important for us to be a workplace where you understand that life does not always go as planned. That is why we offer work trials to people who have the courage to get started after illness or other challenges. Here they can get personally adapted tasks and support from our mentor, so they can find a work rhythm that suits their conditions", says director and co-owner Morten Frantsen.
Tasks at all levels
Lars says that there are tasks for everyone who has the courage to try. He gets very motivated by helping others who may just need a quiet start. "We can all come across something that makes us need a helping hand. So it's nice to be able to come out here, where you can try yourself and see where it goes."
